If you missed open house, please view the open house slide show and let me know if you have any questions. Welcome to third grade at Nate Mack Elementary. My name is Mrs. Wright, and I am thrilled to be starting my 26th year of teaching 3rd grade at Nate Mack. I truly love this school, and I know that your child will have a challenging, fun, and exciting year.
Third grade is challenging, but if we work together as a team, your child will have a very successful year. As a daily routine, ask your child what was the best part of their day, what challenged them, and how did they face that challenge? Our open house is Thursday evening beginning at 5:30. I look forward to meeting you and talking to you about my expectations for this year. Your child will have some math homework this week, and then begin the rest of the homework the following week. Your child will be bringing home a homework folder today with information and paperwork to be filled out. The homework folder should travel to school and home every day. Please be sure to use macksites.weebly.com as a resource for everything. My email address is: [email protected] We will be collecting a $10 technology fee from each student. There are some parts of our day that are important for you to know about right away. Lunch is at 11:25. Our specials are in the afternoon beginning at 12:25. We have library on Tuesdays and P.E. on Thursdays and Fridays. In closing, please remember that there are a few simple things you can do that will help your child have a successful third grade year. Please set a bedtime that allows them to get enough sleep, make sure they eat breakfast, establish a routine for homework, and read with your child. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 tomorrow.
Lunch will not be served. Students are not allowed to bring backpacks to school tomorrow. They may bring a beach towel to sit on while we watch the 5th grade vs teachers kickball game. |
